Description
SUMMARY
Assist in the development of category strategies to optimize sales and profitability. Execute category tactics to improve overall performance of assigned product lines.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Run ad hoc reporting and analytics as needed providing interpretation and recommendations of results to improve category performance.
- Research industry trends and competitive landscape to help define category strategies.
- Work with suppliers on introductions of new products and programs. This entails working with suppliers in the collection of all information to ensure proper set up of new suppliers and parts.
- Assist in the maintenance of Meta data information on assigned product lines to ensure proper representation of product information in our catalog and ecommerce sites.
- Work with suppliers in creation of Supplier Agreements and Rebate agreements.
- Partner with suppliers and marketing to coordinate promotional opportunities. Collect all relevant product and cost information and assist in developing promotional pricing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- PC, Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer knowledge.
- Strong project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Bending and light lifting.
- Infrequent air/land travel may be required.
- Generally limited exposure to physical risk.
