Senior Product Developer

Responsibilities:

New product development
Review production test reports and QC reports on existing products.
Identify any systemic issues and work with Asia teams to troubleshoot root cause & develop solutions.
Manage production schedule.
Ensure all products are compliant across all selling regions and compliance documents are up to date.
Provide immediate feedback to factories arising from customer complaints and work with the design, engineering & production team to troubleshoot and resolve.
Negotiate manufacturing contracts, quotations and payment terms
Work with cross functional partners to develop product specification documents including:
Product requirement document (PRD)
Design validation testing plan (DVTP)
Final product specification (FPS)
Lead the cross functional team from tooling kickoff to mass production, overseeing all aspects of production.
Work with the customer support team to understand customer complaints. Identify whether it’s a design or production issue and work with the relevant teams to solve the problem for ongoing production.

Qualifications:

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese
Bachelor degree
Several years of experience in sourcing or production for a hardware company
Expertise in plastic injection molding and silicone.
Experience in soft goods is a plus
Able to travel to China bi-annually
