Meet The Team

The Data Solutions team is part of a larger Product Management organization here at Dexcom and is a team dedicated to the creation and delivery of horizontal data products to our verticals. This role reports to the Director of Data Solutions, with heavy oversight from a Product Manager category lead.

Where You Come In

  • Expected independent work from the get-go. Self-direct, self-starter in the following areas:
  • Analyze market research, user research, and competitive analysis to inform business cases and product decisions, and present and review discovered insights with the team.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies – especially in the space of health insight enablement through advanced AI/ML capabilities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the marketplace, the competition, customers, the company strategy and the products.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions with clear objectives and success criteria, structured time management, necessary pre-reads, and a supportive framework to encourage creativity and participation.
  • Create proporsitions of feature definitions with clearly articulated jobs-to-be-done, value proposition, and reasoning why customers will choose this product over the alternatives.
  • Identify key metrics and success criteria fro concept DoD (Definition of Done) in innovation which will enable data-driven decision making.
  • Expected work to be done with initial oversight (e.g. not independently) that will eventually become independent work:
  • Shadow a product manager working on innovative AI-powered health insights driving sustained behavior change.
  • Assist in the development of AI/ML applications, including definition of use cases fulfilling top user needs while leveraging explored by the R&D capabilities.
  • Assist in identifying and executing user, market, and competitive research.
  • Help the team understand the feature and its vision by becoming the “voice of the customer”.
  • Assist in defining feature requirements and work with R&D and design to ensure development of feature concepts base on customer and business requirements.
  • Expected work to be done with oversight indefinitely:
  • Assist in identifying, defining, and championing strategic growth opportunities in the AI/ML space.
  • Assist in developing rigorous business cases with evidence such as hypothesis testing with the target market, synthesis of results, and adaption of the concept to maximize the opportunity.
  • Assist in developing KPIs that can be measured over the product’s lifecycle.
  • Assist in protecting the technology by collaborating with the IP team on patenting efforts.

Technical Aptitude / Literacy / Acumen / Fluency

  • Natural ability or talent for understanding and working wtih technical concepts.
  • The ability to comprehend and engage with technical information and systems.
  • Understanding of technical concepts and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in a non-technical role.

Being Coachable

  • Capable of executing certain responsibilities of a product manager under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Ability to listen to and improve based on feedback.

Preferred

  • Direct customer experience or marketing experience.
  • 2+ years experience in software development.
  • Experience in the field of building health and wellness insights or features enabled by algorithms.

  • 5 – 15%

Experience And Education Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience.

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option .
