CARFAX is looking for an Associate Product Manager who is passionate about building digital experiences that provide long-term consumer value. CARFAX Car Care helps millions of car owners take better care of their car and we are looking for an APM to help make the data underpinning this experience as accurate and actionable as possible. At CARFAX, Product Managers are highly collaborative, and the individuals in this role will work with teams across the business to optimize and elevate Car Care from end-to-end.
At CARFAX, we believe in the power of teamwork and value in-person interactions so that we can collaborate and thrive together. This position will require 3 days a week in our Centreville, VA office subject to change with future business needs. Our office will be moving to Reston, VA in 2026!
What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop an understanding of vehicle service data and how it relates to business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Define and prioritize product features and requirements based on business objectives, user needs, and technical feasibility
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed product specifications to communicate feature requirements to the design and engineering teams
  • Partner with teams such as Research, UX, Analytics and Data Services to deliver a great car ownership experience.

What we’re looking for:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a data analysis or product management role
  • Passion for data – ability to use and analyze large and obscure datasets to glean insights for our product management efforts and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills – ability to coordinate multiple projects across several departments and champion projects through completion.
  • Proactive and Self Motivated – feels a strong sense of ownership and proactively identifies what needs to be done. Has a bias toward action.
  • Highly collaborative team player with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Results oriented – ability to analyze and track the impact of product improvements to achieving key corporate goals.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience in Automotive a plus
  • BS/BA degree.
