We’re looking to hire a Senior Product Designer for a financial services client. As a Senior Product Designer, you will take ownership of significant product areas and key features with a high level of autonomy, focusing on conceptualization, research, design, testing, and production. You will manage moderately complex areas, such as product discovery or overview dashboards, or lead a standalone product.

This is a 12-month project opportunity with the potential to extend and convert. The role is hybrid located in New York City, NY.

Senior Product Designer Responsibilities:

• Shape new experience strategies that align user needs with business goals for specific products.
• Engage actively in discussions about product vision, roadmap, and requirements with leadership teams.
• Design the overall structure of omnichannel experiences.
• Operate independently with a small team to deliver end-to-end experiences.
• Review research feedback and discuss its impact on design iterations.
• Lead the development of product-specific experience visions and contribute to broader, organization-wide strategies.
• Collaborate with design associates to prepare and present their work.
• Present designs to cross-functional Executive Directors, Managing Directors, and other executives.

Senior Product Designer Requirements:

• 8-10 years of user experience or product design experience.
• Experience working on lifestyle products like dining, travel, fashion or e-commerce).
• Experience in the financial services industry background.
• Proven track record of leading the delivery of successful products.
• A portfolio showcasing expertise in Interaction Design and advanced skills in Visual Design, Information Architecture, Service Design, or similar areas.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design practices.
• Advanced strategic thinking and application.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Product and Technical leads.
• Confidence in presenting work to leadership and operating with a high degree of independence.
